  18. <p>    In March, John Kingery, an 82-year-old victim of Alzheimer's
  19. disease, was found abandoned in his wheelchair at an Idaho
  20. dog-racing track. Last week his daughter Sue Gifford, 40, was
  21. charged with kidnapping him from his Oregon nursing home and
  22. dumping him in Idaho. Kingery's case drew national attention to
  23. the phenomenon of "grandpa dumping": stressed-out adult children
  24. abandoning their ailing parents. Kingery is now in Kentucky
  25. being taken care of by relatives.
